Being a wedding photographer Des Moines always has new experiences. With each wedding being unique and different. Covid really changed a lot of the way we celebrate things. Sometimes that is with a Live recording of a ceremony so all can be a part of the day or by moving things around like guests lists or wearing a mask. This turned out to be such a great day for Caty & Brandon. Caty bough all her florals from a wholesale online store, then they hand made all the bouquets themselves the day before the wedding. They turned out so great and smelled amazing. Moreover, being a July wedding we lucked out. It was perfect weather, not too hot. Next, the reception venue was at La Poste. It was such a funky and neat venue with lots of decor. It would be a perfect little bar to sit and listen to jazz.
As a wedding photographer Des Moines, you always are on the look for little spots that will make great photos. Likewise, Perry has some great little areas. We took some of their photos at a near by local park as well as near La Poste in some alleyways. Finally when we settled into the reception venue the couple cut their cake. The cake was made by Tammy Cakes in Perry. They did an amazing job! It was so magnificent and lovely. My favorite end to the day was the couples photos by this rad red piano. I hope you enjoy looking through the images as much as I did!
