Above all, I thoroughly enjoy being a Iowa Wedding Photographer. Every event and wedding is always different and unique. When I first meet Emma & Weston we just meshed really well. They have such a great vibe and energy. I knew that photographing their event would be such a fun time. Emma & Weston’s wedding venue was at Camp Wa No Ki. With the venue just down the road from Emma’s parents home. Which made a great spot for their getting ready area. I found this amazing vintage velvet chair at Emma’s mom’s house and decided to use it for some of the detail shots. It worked out so great! All the florals were made by a family friend. They smelled heavenly.
The venue is tucked into the woods. It made for a perfect area. I adore a venue that has a fabulous nature and woodsy area. The details were rustic and elegant. Which matched with the golden hue of fall made for some whimsical photos. Overall it was a perfect sunny fall day! Furthermore as a Iowa Wedding Photographer I cherish when people add their animal companions to their day! For instance, Emma & Weston’s dog was adorable. He had to stay by Emma’s side the whole day.
Emma and Weston’s day had so many small touches all brought together with their family’s help. The reception had a great dance crowd. I personally always love the father daughter dances at weddings. This one was no different. The images from Emma’s dance with her dad are at the bottom of this post. Such a wonderful memorable moment.
