After we first moved to Des Moines and got pregnant with our second child. I became a Des Moines Wedding Photographer, having moved here from where I was shooting weddings in Minneapolis. I First meet Kari when I was seeking out a midwife for our birth. Kari now works at Broadlawns as a midwife. At the time I meet her she was doing Birth center and home births with Healing Passages. Kari is truly one of those amazing providers that goes above and beyond. She made me feel comforted and at home immediately after I meet her, gave me the tools I needed for myself. Her kindness and loving nature made me feel so much at ease and was truly a blessing to me. Then in 2019 she contacted me about photographing her wedding. It was an honor.
As a Des Moines Wedding Photographer, we meet and went over their wedding details, then covid hit. The wedding date was just about the time that everything started opening up again and so little was still known about the virus. Their big celebration turned into a small socially distant backyard micro wedding. It ended up being a completely wonderful wedding day! They were surrounded by some of their family bubble members. It will always be one of my favorite weddings.
