I absolutely enjoy being a Family Photographer Des Moines. I feel like I get to meet some of the most amazing people and kindred spirits. This was such a fun family session and I loved how it captures Katelynn and her son. He was such an amazing sweet kiddo! Full of energy and making me laugh. His mom, Katelynn contacted me several months before her family session. She is also an amazing photographer. It is always such an honor when another artist values my work and books with me. The family session in Red Feather prairie in Ankeny Iowa. It was in mid to late October so a tad on the chilly side. As a Family Photographer Des Moines, I always bring an abundance of blankets with me so we used some of those to stay warm. This area is so great! It has an abundance of trees by the trail head that is great for fall foliage. Some great trail paths through the prairie and some off the beaten path access to the beach. I love that this park offers a variety of great spots for family photos. Being Family Photographer Des Moines, I often use prompts, ask clients to play games, etc. This is all to get some true emotions and smiles. I love when doing this it helps people loosen up a bit and be themselves. Which is where I think the best photos come from.
