As an artist, a creative, and a Des Moines area Photographer; I can tell you that sometimes the hardest things for me to do are to sit still. Any creative can tell you they’d rather be out creating magic than be at their computer or doing the business side of things. Our brains are hard wired on the right side to be whimsical and busy.
As a Des Moines area Photographer; some days I am so busy, and it is always hard for me to catch up on my blogging, but here I am! I will try to be more with it this year and carve out that time.
As a result, this year I will talk more about artistical growth and creative journeys more in depth. Without further ado, please enjoy this beautiful barn wedding!
Some notes about this day: Sugar Grove’s venue is lovely! It has it’s main building with an area that the guys got ready in and a bridal area in the main barn. A complete balcony upstairs that was so convenient for photos. For instance, where I could look down or get a different vantage point for photos. One of my favorite things about the property was the outdoors. A lovely grove of trees that outline one area ( you’ll see bellow). It sets up such a great vantage point, and depth for imagery.
My clients Aerika & Nick were such an awesome couple to work with! Head over heels for eachother and madly in love. Above all, for a creative that thrives on capturing those moments, it was a slam dunk of a great and beautiful wedding!
