I am a Photographers in Des Moines Iowa. Being a creative and having that in our soul essence. Besides I feel like often even in good times, social media presents us with a false positive art experience. We are shown the highlight of someones top work. Instagram and other platforms becomes a fantasy of unrealistic creative drive. It is hard and impossible to create masterpiece after masterpiece consecutively. What you don’t see is the behind the scene struggles and the photos or art pieces that fail. Moreover, As a Photographers in Des Moines Iowa, I think showing this someday might make a good post and example.
I took these photos of my daughter a whole year ago. Similarly to today, spring was in the under depths of the Earth. Waiting to come. Snow had begun to melt and the ice that covered Saylorville Lake had begun to break apart. Consequently, a very shortly later in March 2020 covid changed our whole life.
As any Photographers in Des Moines Iowa, creativity is not ongoing. If we push and push ourselves too much without feeding ourselves we burn out. This was an important lesson I’ve started to learn from last year. With the trauma of loosing so much of my business from the pandemic issues. The struggle to parent during unheard of times. It helped me put in the perspective of the importance of self love. Of feeding your creative spirit and drive. Of feeding yourself. Consequently this is something I am trying to do better about this year.
