I am horrible at blogging, but hang with me. Lol
I had a wonderful time photographing this charming wedding yesterday! I loved all the details Ashley had done for the barn! There was even a shaved ice truck for the guests, which I am sure was a hit, as we had a 90 degree weather day in September! The staff at the venue were wonderful and so kind. The rain held off for us all day, and everything went so smoothly. It was a really lovely day and celebration for these two. I am so glad I got to be a part of it all!
As a Des Moines photographer, I had a wonderful time yesterday with Jani & Duane at Backbone park. Their wedding was like a magical fairy land! Duane was so giddy all day, just so excited to marry his best friend. We got to frolic in the woods on such a beautiful September day. Duane’s Mom officiated the ceremony, as a Des Moines photographer, I had such a hard time not crying. They wrote their own beautiful vows, had all the children throw wild flowers as they were announced man and wife. It was a lovely bonding of two souls.

As a Des Moines Photographer, I had the chance to photograph one of my wedding clients the other day. They were such a sweet couple! I loved how goofy and nerdy they were together. Greg kept making silly eyes at Shannan to get her to crack a real smile. As a Des Moines Photographer, I love getting a chance to work with couples before the wedding day. It gets them used to the big camera, but it also shows me the radiance of the love they have for each other. I am so excited for the wedding in September, it is going to be fantastic!
I had a lovely time yesterday photographing Emily & Curtis’s wedding. They are such a wonderful couple. As a Des Moines Photographer, I loved Emily’s excitement during the ceremony. How she kept wringing and holding her hands, to how they both just smiled giddily at each other the entire time. We frolicked around in the woods, visited briefly the museum where Emily works and hit their favorite local brew house. It was a fantastic day!
