I loved being a part of Shannan & Greg’s wedding day! We made the most of a hot September day by photographing in the Iowa State Capitol building. Which I think complimented Shannan’s wedding dress so well as it reminded me of an art deco style with the bead work. All in all, the wedding went beautifully, and the couple were radiant.

I am horrible at blogging, but hang with me. Lol
I had a wonderful time photographing this charming wedding yesterday! I loved all the details Ashley had done for the barn! There was even a shaved ice truck for the guests, which I am sure was a hit, as we had a 90 degree weather day in September! The staff at the venue were wonderful and so kind. The rain held off for us all day, and everything went so smoothly. It was a really lovely day and celebration for these two. I am so glad I got to be a part of it all!
As a Des Moines photographer, I had a wonderful time yesterday with Jani & Duane at Backbone park. Their wedding was like a magical fairy land! Duane was so giddy all day, just so excited to marry his best friend. We got to frolic in the woods on such a beautiful September day. Duane’s Mom officiated the ceremony, as a Des Moines photographer, I had such a hard time not crying. They wrote their own beautiful vows, had all the children throw wild flowers as they were announced man and wife. It was a lovely bonding of two souls.

We had the beauty of exploring this creek bed, finding frogs, minnows, and having muddy toes!
